Wovenworld Bushcraft is the culmination of a lifelong passion for nature and wilderness exploration by Tom Bán.

Tom Bán hails from Nenagh and spent most of his time growing up hunting, fishing and spending countless hours outside exploring the landscape around him and learning local history. He is dedicated to learning the skills required to survive in the wild and the bushcraft needed to do so. Tom has brought his passion for the outdoors into his career and now teaches bushcraft and nature classes to groups of kids and adults all across Ireland.
Tom has completed bushcraft courses in Ireland and the UK and holds level 4 Applied Bushcraft certification.

He has journeyed to the Arctic Circle among other places to enhance his bushcraft in different locations.

Tom has appeared as an extra in the Netflix series ‘Vikings‘.

Bush Kids

Tom has been involved with the RTE show ‘ Bush Kids” since 2021. The premise of the Irish TV show “Bush Kids” involves four different families being brought to various wild habitats in Ireland to learn survival skills. Guided by bushcraft and survival expert Tom Bán, the families, along with one parent and their children aged 5–12, explore their assigned habitats with only their backpacks. They learn essential survival techniques such as lighting fires without a lighter, building camping shelters, foraging for food, and cooking on an open campfire. The show aims to teach both the participants and the viewers about the resources and wonders of Ireland’s remote areas, including forests, coasts, meadows, and boglands

Tom has had many guest appearances on TV and radio including being interviewed by Maura & Daithi on RTE Today and a radio appearance on Oliver Callans’s show on RTE Radio 1.

Tom has also featured in the Irish Independent newspaper, The Nenagh Guardian and several regional newspapers.
